cannot restore backups "SDCZIP.DLL failed to load"

Hi

I had to reinstall my PC but I had made backups of all the games and
programs I had.

Now many of them are on the old .zip format still, as they were made
more than a month ago. Yet when I try to restore them i get the above
error.

How do i get that error fixed?

I noted that objectzip was not installed and got it installed, but

bummer

So far the only thing i have found out that works is installing an
old version.

Thankfully I still had a version of sdcentral from last summer.

1) change settings on sdcentral to not update itself
2) install old version
3) start old version, it seems very confused (cant show stuff in
installed product list). But choosing the "restore" option seems
to work

I will restore all the proggies, then restart sdcentral and let it
update. Hopefully things will work out and all my programs will be
visible.

Will update this if it doesnt work

Looks like SDC failed to instell properly. The best get would to get a fresh copy of the installer
and reinstall.

Yes, that did work.
I downloaded the current version, didnt let it update, and that
worked.

Simple - but i hadnt thought of it.
