SDC Discussion problems

Hi All,

Is anyone else seeing problems with SDC's discussion handling following
the Stardock server updates?

I keep getting the following error when selecting messages to view:

Server Error in '/' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Compilation Error
Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource
required to service this request. Please review the following specific
error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: BC30455: Argument not specified for parameter
'AdZone' of 'Public Sub WriteAd(AdZone As String, [UserLevelAccess As
SDNetLib.CustomerLevel = CustomerLevel.Subscriber], [AccessLevel As
Integer = 6])'.

At other times I get a 'server too busy' error...

The thread list also appears to not update at all either.

Since this started when the servers were updated I thought it'd be fixed
in time but it's been quite a few days now.

I've tried resetting the list, and manually deleting the discussion/ini
files but this didn't help.

Just wanted to make sure SDC didn't get forgotten about! It's by far my
preferred way of using the WC forums.

Cheers,

Chris.

Those look like odd errors. We *have* been having server issues, but
nothing specifically relating to that that I know of. I've dropped a
note to the head of our web team to see if we can figure that out.
Thanks for the report. :-)

Glad to see it's being looked into.

FWIW at ~10:00 am (UTC+11:00) it appears to be updating the thread list
OK, but I still can't view articles.

BTW my SDC version is: 2.30b[b].187 build: 123

Cheers,
Chris.

It should be fixed now. There was a problem with an update on the server
and some things had to be rolled back, only that particular file wasn't
rolled back completely and so it broke things for Stardock Central
users.

Seems to be working for me now.

Great work, thanks!

Still getting some server timeouts & busy errors but that's to be
expected I guess until it's all bedded down properly.

Cheers,

Chris
