SDC doesn't think I have BootSkin installed, so it won't install or apply
any BootSkins. Is there any way to fix this?

It's been some times since I last used it, my bios don't like the latests versions (>0.3).
To apply a BootSkin skin, you don't use SDC.
If you doubleclick on a BootSkin package, it should open BootSkin dialog and install that package.
You open the dialog and select the skin you want and hit the Apply button.
It should work unless there have been some major changes in the interface.

You're right that you don't *NEED* SDC. However, that function is
built-in and it doesn't work for me. Ergo, I would like to find a fix.

You don't need to use SDC to apply IP and WB skins either, for example,
but it makes it much more convenient to do so.

Looking at SDC, I don't where you install and apply BootSkin packages. Where is it suposed to be done?

In Skins and Themes when you're viewing a BootSkin package, you have the
option to Apply it. If it's already in your Downloads queue (you've
chosen to download it later), you also have the option to Install.

Of course, you have to have a WC subscription to have these options.

I'm using 1.05a. That's the newest version according to the homepage on
WinCustomize.

Okay, I just re-downloaded and re-installed it, and SDC still gives me
the following message when trying to apply a BootSkin:

---------------------------
BootSkins
---------------------------
BootSkins could not be found on your computer. Please ensure the
application is installed and the required files exist.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Note that I'm not using the default installation path, though I wouldn't
think that would make a difference if you're reading from the registry.

After looking into it more it appears the wcbrowser\skin.dll hasnt been
updated in some time which is causing the problem. Will make sure that gets
updated in the next release.

Thanks,
