SDC is confused with the WB5 beta - it won't archive 4.6 giving an error
message saying WB5.xml not found. Then it won't install the beta for the
same reason.

Using the latest SDC (2.10.344 b95)
XPP SP1

I had the same problem until I told SDC to mark it as uninstalled anyway.

Let me back up. I first tried to uninstall WB4, and I got that error. I
told it to mark it as uninstalled anyway. Then I installed WB5. I never
attempted to install WB5 over WB4, though that was the end result.

When the minor update came up, both WB4 and WB5 showed as installed. I
successfully uninstalled WB4, which led to both being shown uninstalled.
I then rebooted and cleared out my entire WB directory, save for the skin
folders, and then installed the new WB5.

That last step was probably unnecessary, because WB5 was already working
for me, but I wanted to make sure I was starting from a clean slate, and
some people on WC reported better success after doing that.

It is a glitch they should fix, but it looks like turning off autoarchiving,
manually archiving WB4, then installing WB 5 would work.

Now that you mention it, WB5 is a separate item from WB4 in SDC, but it is
picking up the WB4 version as "Installed" on the WB5 line - I'm guessing the
autoarchive function is getting (erroneously) triggered by that Installed
entry that shouldn't be there and is looking for a prior version of WB5 when
there is none.
